Self Employed Tailoring Course

As part of our regular on-going projects, the program design  for  empowering women to create livelihood opportunities to build up their confidence and prepare them for SME/ Self Help Group

The MSSDS/NSDC program allow the women candidates  to enrolled in  Self Employed Tailoring course. The 2month skill training is created to skill women belonging to economically weaker sections of the society. The candidates are trained and provided with  raw material like threads, needles, clothes, scissors, measure tape, chalk, etc. They are trained for assess body measurements, and using  type  tools & materials for drafting, Marking the measurements of a garment on a piece of paper with the help of the tools and make the standard patterns. Place the cut components of paper for cutting the cloth,  the trainer. Measure the length and width of the material/fabric before starting to cut ,Ensure there are no defects on the material, checks or plaids, etc. The garment is Cut in the various components with precision to avoid fabric/material wastage and preserve in a suitable bundle tied together. 

The job role of Self Employed tailor defines They can work for different types of employers such as department stores, dry cleaners, textile and apparel manufacturers, they can choose whether they work as a full-time tailor or work only on weekends or to start their own business.

Self employed tailor develop technical skills through hands-on training and the powerful skill. This may help improve their  resume credentials and find better job opportunities.

The successful completion of Self Employed tailor courses allows them to receive certificates and job opportunities in the field of garments manufacturing or self employment.
