Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar 127 Birth Anniversary

On 127th Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Birth Anniversary (14 April 2018), an event was organized by our NGO Humanitarian Welfare and Research Foundation (HWARF) at Chembur.

HWARF has organized drawing competition for the school children of the locality and distributed the prizes to the winners. HWARF has distributed Books, Stationary to the school children in the locality to mark respect to the father of constitution Dr B R Ambedkar who gave emphasis on the importance of education.  Along with this, we have supported a Box Cricket Tournament organized in the name of ‘Bh

imchashak’. The Chief Guest who were present on behalf of HWARF were:

Enthuzia 2018

Our NGO Humanitarian Welfare and Research Foundation and Kalyan Eparchy Youth have successfully organized  Enthuzia 2018 on Sunday 11th February 2018 at St.Marys High School Versova witnessing crowd of 2000 and above in support on drawing attention on suicide of farmers.

Vidarbha is known for a home for approximately 3.4 million cotton farmers and 95% of these are struggling with the massive debt. Most of the villages in Vidarbha are badly effected in need of basic social infrastructure like all-weather roads, drinking water, regular electricity, primary health care, and basic education. Majority of suicide cases are from cotton growing areas. The cotton farmers in India paying more prices for inputs like seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, electricity, water, and labor whereas the price of cotton has gone down along with decreased productivity.

In India, however, problems in identifying the population base and in the certification of death has meant that the true magnitude of the problem is yet to be realized as stated by (Indian journal psychiatry)

In the view of above description supporting families of the farmers who had  taken away their own lives due to the cruelty of nature in the Vidharbha region of Maharashtra. The stress, pain and grief that these and above families were going through is unbearable. But they stood strong together, fighting all odds. As a Salute to these Heroes the Families of the farmers were honored with cheque award

The Program was a grand success as the purpose was grant to the identified families of farmers  the cheque of 10000/- each  was honored to the families  by the hand of  our Chief Guest Shri.S.B.Salve & Smt S.B Salve ( Justice for Industries),Senior Actor Shri Anjan Shrivasta,Actress contestant Big Boss) Ms.Sambhawna Seth (T.V Serial Artist),Ms.Ragini Khanna, Dr.Sachin Karad (Cardiologist Nanavati Hospital) Trustee of HWARF and Founder of KEY

HWARF & Key Invited guest and delegates gave their view in social informative presentation to people in audience and message to our present authorities for passing an order in formation of special committee to discuss not only of agriculturists, economists, but also psychiatrists and social services by NGOs  to overcome the plight of suicide and to  distribute  essential knowledge encouraging farmers in self-help group in every 4–5 villages.

We  as an individual promise to Awaken our inner capabilities to stop Suicide in farmers by encouraging them with no borders or boundaries but immediate serious intervention.

 

World Diabetes Day 2017

Our NGO HWARF organized mega world diabetes day project at JJ Hospital – a diabetes awareness & Free fasting and random check up on World diabetes day at 14 November 2017. Report were send by emails and on Whats app. Presentation on awareness and prevention by eminent diabetologist at Grant medical College Gymkhana Next to Taraporewala aquarium, marine line Mumbai.

World Diabetes Day is the birth day of Frederick Banting who discovered insulin in 1922 on November 14, As on this day Insulin is discovered so NGO Humanitarian and welfare and research foundation organized mega world diabetes day project for spreading awareness about diabetes on his birthday. On world diabetes Day, Diabetes awareness and Free Check fasting and random, Presentations on awareness and prevention by eminent diabetelogists at Grand Medical College GYMKHANA, sponsored by Sun Pharma in Association with Parshwa life sciences.   

MUMBAI DARSHAN WITH ORPHAN GIRLS

MUMBAI DARSHAN WITH ORPHAN GIRLS OF VASUNDHARA CHARITABLE SOCIETY, NAGPUR

25TH OCTOBER – 27TH OCTOBER 2017

On 25th, 26th & 27th October we celebrated the day with the orphan children of Vasundra Foundation Nagpur .The 75 girls between the age of 5 years to 15 years traveled to Mumbai for Mumbai Darshan. The girls were accompanied by the Teachers and President of the foundation ,it was their first visit  Mumbai and they carried many happy memories. 

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save girl child, educate a girl child) is a social campaign of the Government of India that aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls. Under this scheme a NGO from Nagpur – Vasundhara Charitable Society had organized a trip ‘Dikshabhoomi to Chaityabhoomi’ for 75 orphan school girls of Nagpur. The route of this trip was from Dikshabhoomi Nagpur – Shegaon Sansthan – Mumbai Darshan – Aurangabad – Back to Nagpur. This trip was waved off by Mayor of Nagpur Mrs. Nanda Jichkar and Ex MPSC Member Mr. G D Jambhulkar.

Considering the noble cause our NGO – HWARF has taken a social responsibility and lead to take care of stay, food and Mumbai darshan of these girls along with their accompanying teachers. We have received them on the eve 25 October 2017 at Ashaankoor Ashram at Rajavali, Vasai. Dinner, breakfast and stay were arranged at the ashram for 3 days. They were kept comfortable and they enjoyed Mumbai darshan. We thank Father Vitthal for helping us providing facilities at the ashram.

Ms Christine Swaminathan (Founder Trustee – HWARF) & Dr Akash Khobragade (Medical Advisor – HWARF & Assist Prof. JJ Hospital, Mumbai.) and the team were present to welcome the trip and also accompanied few places they visited Gate of India, Rani Baugh, Chowpathy, Worli Sea link, Vidhan Sabha, Fish Aquarium and many great heritage monuments. It was a Pleasant moment for all of us together.

TCS Donates 10 Computers to support Skill Development Projects initiated by HWARF!

Tata Consultancy Services presented 10 computers to Humanitarian Welfare and Research Foundation(HWARF) at their BKC Offices via a simple ceremony on 8th Sep 17.

TCS has been involved in the use of IT for social causes and has a history of donations in computer software and hardware to educational institutes and social organisations. 

HWARF, shall be utilizing the computers in their skill development programs.

We thank TCS for the much needed donation of the computers to our NGO.  Our shortlisted programs will make the students to stand and allow them to compete in this professional environment.
